About The Source Summit

At The Source Summit, we believe that women possess the ideas that will change the world. These ideas are realized when women from different backgrounds and cultures come together, create connections and spark change. The Source Summit creates platforms and experiences to make these connections possible. 

The Source Summit is an online platform combined with offline experiences that provide vital sources of inspiration and connection that activate growth and change.

Now more than ever, women are tapping into their inner selves to take outward actions. In just the last year, women have sparked powerful movements, changed the face of governments, shifted the dynamics among people and strengthened ties across cultures in a manner never before seen in history. 

The Source Summit gives women of all walks of life opportunities to deeply align with their personal voice, power and spirit and create a community of action.

We understand the potential of a community of women across cultures and borders. We are these women. And, we know that the untapped power of our growing community of change agents—at home, in business and through social activism in the United States, Mexico and beyond—are through whom we will thrive by finding what makes us individually unique, and collectively limitless. 


The Source Summit’s founding membership is comprised of leaders from across the globe. These are women whose influence is incomparable, and whose power has yet to be maximized. Together, we are creating experiences for personal development and collective progress. We are defining a concept for a space for personal development and social change where women of all cultures can constantly develop on an individual and collective level. 


Gabriela Serna, Founder

Gabriela is an entrepreneur with a vast background in the arts, media, and culture. Born in Mexico, she began her career as a graphic designer which brought her to New York City. At age 23, she partnered with the Guggenheim Museum to create the educational non-profit “Learning Through Art.” Learning Through Art works with elementary school children in Mexico using art to help them better read and write and after 20 years, is still going strong. Gabriela then entered the world of high-end fashion, serving as the Marketing Manager for W Magazine. In 2000, she used that experience to found her own public relations company, New Ground Partners, which has built its reputation by catering to well-known luxury brands, with headquarters in America and Mexico.  

Lolita Carrico, Marketing & Business Development

Long before the word “mompreneur” entered our lexicon, Lolita was already blazing trails as a true media pioneer as founder of Modern Mom Inc., one of the first major online presences for mothers. With the success of both and the GLOSS Network, she established herself as one of the industry’s top marketers and influencers early on. In addition to launching the successful media properties, she’s been a marketing and PR advisor to leading technology and online companies for over 20 years and helps entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes maximize profitability by clearly identifying  and executing on their purpose.

Fanny Carrillo, Editorial

For the last 20+ years, Fanny has been a cultural promoter working for public and private institutions, galleries and performing arts festivals. She has also worked in the editorial section of different Mexican magazines: Quién, Spot, and currently,  collaborates with “El mundo de Regina”, an online platform that focuses on lifestyle, celebrities and social events. As a translator,  she has also ventured into the Spanish version of 3 very successful screenplays so far: “The Normal Heart”, “An Act Of God” and “The Boys In the Band”.

AnaGloria Valenzuela, Editorial

Ana Gloria Valenzuela is a journalist and publicist with a passion for storytelling. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Communications from Boston College. She was a Beauty and Fashion Editor at Quién magazine where she interviewed top tastemakers like Carolina Herrera, Naemm Khan and Tommy Hilfiger. Her penship has also has been featured in important publications like Harper’s Bazaar en Español and ELLE México. She now leads public relations campaigns for lifestyle brands and creates content in all of its capacities for clients under her boutique firm AGency by AG. She is also a beauty columnist for El Mundo de Regina.
